What made you decide to be a dental hygienist?
I wanted to be in the dental field as early as kindergarten. I spent a lot of time at the dentist when I was a child and it was always such a pleasant experience- needles and all!
What’s your favourite part of being a hygienist?
My favourite part of being a dental hygienist would have to the relationships that I develop with my patients. I get to hear all about the interesting details of their life and I feel proud that they put their trust in me helping them keep their mouth and body healthy.
What would you be doing if you weren’t a hygienist?
If I weren’t a hygienist, I would love to be a food critic or food blogger. I love food! (Eating, not making. 😉)
What is your number one oral health tip?
My number one oral tip would be to start getting your kids into good oral habits early. They will carry it throughout their life and hopefully avoid problems when they are older.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I can flare my nostrils really fast?!
What's your favourite guilty pleasure food that may not be the best for your teeth?
My favourite guilty pleasure food that might not be good for my teeth would probably be cupcakes.
When you’re not at the clinic, what are you likely doing?
When I’m not at the clinic, I’m most likely travelling, eating out at restaurants, or shopping. (Pre-covid of course)
What show are you currently binge watching on Netflix?
The show that I am currently binge watching on Netflix is Superstore.
Once life gets back to normal after the pandemic, what is the first thing you’ll do?
Travel!
